“Electricité du Liban” reassures: the electrical supply is stable

The Electricité du Liban announced in a statement that, “In light of the current security conditions and the rapid rise in global oil prices, and the accompanying direct repercussions on the cost of production, while collection imports have been negatively affected in various Lebanese regions as a result of the emerging crisis, it is following developments in the situation on a daily and accurate basis in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Water, and in this context, it is taking appropriate measures on an ongoing basis, and is also working on its production policy and operational plan in line with the emerging data, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of nutrition as much as possible.” Especially for the basic vital facilities in Lebanon (Beirut International Airport, port, water pumps, sanitation, palaces of justice, basic administrations and facilities in the state...), and to overcome this difficult stage with the least possible impact on both public facilities and citizens.”
She reassured "all Lebanese that the electrical supply is stable," stressing that she "continues to evaluate the situation periodically and take the necessary operational and technical measures to adapt to the current challenges to overcome this crisis."
